Introduction

Paladin Ventures, Inc. owns and operates AwakenPrayer.com and the Awaken Prayer mobile apps(interchangeably referred to in this policy as “Awaken Prayer ”, “Awaken” or “the Service”), a Christian faith- and Bible-based service that provides web-based tools and a web-based forum for encouraging and rallying the global church of Christ to pray. Awaken Prayer accomplishes this by providing:

Timely information.
Online communication.
Organizational and inspirational tools.

We at Awaken Prayer want to help:

Equip the saints for service
Prepare the bride of Christ for our soon returning Lord.
Unite Christians in prayer as never before.

Personal Prayer and Journal Content Access

As a Christian faith-based company, we stand by the belief that your personal Prayer Lists, Journal and the content of private groups are deeply personal between you, group members, and God. It is our intention to maintain this privacy.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Awaken Prayer is committed to providing the information you need to make informed choices about the ways you use our service. This privacy policy describes the personal information we collect when you use our service. It also describes how we use the personal information you share with us and some of the steps we take to protect your privacy.

Personal Information and Privacy Settings within Groups

When you use our service, you may be creating and maintaining a group page on behalf of yourself or another person, or visiting and posting to a group page created by someone else. By their very nature, these group pages contain a great deal of personal information about the subject of the group and other individuals. For this reason, we allow the creator of a prayer group to control the level of privacy they apply to their page. Our goal is to balance our users’ need to find each other and communicate information and support against our users’ desire for a measure of privacy.

Information Collected by Awaken Prayer?

Information You Volunteer—Awaken Prayer collects personal information you and others knowingly and voluntarily provide when you use our service, either on our website or through our mobile applications. Examples would include but are not limited to, personal information you provide when you:

Create an account.
Post public content.
Complete a survey.
Use our share features.
Contact our customer support.

“Personal information” means information that can identify you or someone else. Examples of personal information include your name, address, email address. Information Collected From Your Mobile Device—When using our mobile apps, we collect your device type and the operating system you are using in order to provide you with the best app experience related to the hardware and software you are using. We also create combined anonymous statistics for improving our mobile application. We do not ask for access to your device or track any location-related information from your mobile device at any time. Information Sent to Us by Your Web Browser—We collect information automatically sent by your web browser and by our mobile apps. This information typically includes:

Your IP address.
The identity of your Internet service provider.
The name and version of your operating system.
The name and version of your browser.
The date and time of your visit.
The pages you visit.

To learn what information your browser sends or how to change your settings, consult your browser’s help information. We do not link the information provided by your browser to information that identifies you by name. Cookies and Similar Technologies—We use “cookies” and other web technologies to collect information and support certain features of the service on our web application. For example, we may use these technologies to:

Collect information about the ways people use the service, such as which pages they visit, which links they use, and how long they stay on each page.
Support the features and functionality of the service, such as saving you the trouble of reentering information already in our database or to prompt the settings you established on previous visits.
Personalize your experience when you use the service.

If you do not wish to receive cookies, you may set your browser to reject cookies or to alert you when a cookie is placed on your computer. You may also delete our cookies as soon as you leave the service. How Do We Use the Personal Information We Collect on the Site?

Awaken Prayer does not sell or share any personal information including prayer related information or journal entries. When you post a prayer request to a community prayer list on this site or share it on social media, that data and any updates or answers related to it may become part of the public domain outside the boundaries and safeguards of this privacy policy statement. Other than private prayer and journal related information, we may use other personal information we collect through the service:

To provide the information you have requested.
To contact you regarding your use of the service.
To send you news and information we believe will be of interest to you, according to the privacy preferences you have set.
To invite you to participate in surveys and provide feedback to us, according to the privacy preferences you have set.
To better understand your needs and interests.
To improve the content, functionality, and usability of the service.
To provide you with a personalized experience when you use the service.
To improve our outreach and fundraising efforts.
For security, credit, or fraud prevention purposes.
For any other purpose identified in an applicable privacy notice.
For any other purpose identified in a click-through agreement or other agreement between Awaken Prayer and you.

Survey Information—From time to time, we may post a survey on the service. If we have your contact information and your consent, we may send you a questionnaire or survey. Your participation in any survey is always voluntary. We use the combined anonymous data to help us understand the needs and preferences of the groups and individuals we serve and to improve the content and functionality of the Site. Promotional Communications from the Site—Occasionally on our service we send information about services, products, and promotions in addition to newsletters. You can sign up for these emails from us on your preferences page. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide the option not to receive these types of communications. You may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by changing your communications option within your preferences setting. System and Group Communications—Part of the service includes the following notifications:

Urgent prayer request called Prayer Alerts(coming soon)
Notifications of an update or answer to a prayer request you are following
Group communications from group administrators

These may come to you by email, text messages or on your mobile device, depending on how you set up your notifications preferences. You may at any time change these preferences to opt in or opt out of receiving them by going to Preferences | Settings | Notifications on the main menu bar at the top of each page. You will also find Group Notification Preferences within Group Settings. Notifications from the Mobile Application—You may at any time change the preferences on our mobile app to opt in or out of receiving notifications through your device. To receive notifications by text message, you will need to provide your mobile phone number to Awaken Prayer. Awaken Prayer will never share your phone number with others; it will only be used by Awaken Prayer systems to send the notifications preferences you have requested.

How Does Awaken Prayer Share Personal Information with Others?

Awaken Prayer does not share, sell, or disclose personal information collected through the service. Group Administrators—If you engage with a particular group site, we may share your name and email address with the administrator of the site. For example, if you request group membership or respond to a membership invitation we provide your name, username and email address to the group administrator. If you post a prayer request, update, or answer to a prayer list, your username will accompany it. Invite Others to Join Your Group—If you have administrative privileges within a group, you may invite people to join your group using a system email. This requires you to provide the email address of the recipient. It is retained by the system in order for them to be identified as an invitee into your group during their user registration process. Third-Party Vendors—Awaken Prayer shares personal information collected through our service with third-party service providers who act for or on behalf of Awaken Prayer. These third-party service providers may need information about you in order to perform their functions. These companies are required by contract to keep your personal information confidential and may use it only to provide services on our behalf. Links to Other Sites—This service may choose to provide links to other websites operated by third parties. Because we have no control over third-party websites, we are not responsible for the availability and content of those websites. We do not endorse them and are not responsible or liable for the content, advertising, services, products, or other materials on or available from such websites. Awaken Prayer shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, advertising, services, products, or other materials on or available from such websites. This privacy policy does not apply to your use of third-party websites; your use of such websites is subject to the terms and policies of each individual website. Donations—When you Donate to Awaken Prayer, online or offline, we do not sell, trade or share your personal information with other organizations, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Credit card and personal information related to online donations are processed via PayPal™. Awaken Prayer has no access to your transaction data. We do receive a report with your name, the date and the amount. Business Transfers—In the event that the ownership or operation of Awaken Prayer is transferred to a successor organization, such as through a merger, your personal information may be transferred to that organization. If such a transfer occurs, the successor organization’s use of your personal information will still be subject to this Privacy Policy and the privacy preferences you have expressed to us. Compliance with Laws and Protection of Our Rights and the Rights of Others—We may disclose your personal information when we, in good faith, believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law, a court order, or a subpoena. We may also disclose your personal information to prevent or investigate a possible crime, such as fraud or identity theft; to protect the security of our service; to enforce or apply our online Terms of Use or other agreements; or to protect our own rights or property or the rights, property or safety of our users or others. Statistics—Awaken Prayer may share statistical information about the use of our service with our donors, investors, sponsors, and partners. This information does not identify any individual person. Social Media Widgets—Our Web site includes social media features, such as the Facebook and Twitter buttons, and widgets for interactive mini-programs that run on our site. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing the feature. Testimonials—We may display personal testimonials of satisfied users on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, contact us at support@AwakenPrayer.com. Community Prayer Lists—The Awaken platform offers Community Prayer Lists. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by other users on our site who access them. We are not responsible nor can we restrict others’ abilities to copy and paste your post to other services. To removal personal posts from Community Lists, simply delete the prayer request.

Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Updating, Accessing, Amending, Correcting, Deleting, or Removing Your Personally Identifiable Information

If your personally identifiable information changes, you may correct, update or amend it by making the change in your Personal Profile Settings, or by contacting us at support@AwakenPrayer.com. If you no longer desire our service, close your account, simply by selecting “Close Account” within your Personal Settings.

What Steps Does Awaken Prayer Take to Safeguard Personal Information?

We maintain stringent administrative, physical and technological measures to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal, prayer lists and journal information. For example, we use industry-standard Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) encryption to protect our entire site and all who log into an account, create an account or group profile as it travels over the internet. Unfortunately, no mobile app, website, server or database is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. For this reason, you should use care and discretion when you post content on a site and never post information that can be used to identify someone personally, such as using his or her proper name, or that could be used for identity theft purposes, such as social security numbers, bank account numbers, or credit card numbers.

Protecting Children Under the Age Thirteen

The praying community of Christ may include people of all ages. Special care must be taken to protect children. For this reason, Awaken Prayer does not permit children under the age of 16 to create or maintain Groups, or children under the age of 13 to register as users.

Privacy Notices

This privacy policy may be supplemented or amended from time to time by privacy notices posted on the service. These privacy notices provide details specific to certain sites within the service that cannot be covered in this general privacy policy.

Country-specific Notices

Privacy requirements vary from country to country. To meet these requirements we may from time to time include country-specific notices as part of this privacy policy. If any of the terms of a country-specific notice are different than the general terms of this policy, the terms of the country-specific notice will supplement or amend this privacy policy, but only to the extent that the laws of that country apply to the collection of personal information through the service.

This Privacy Policy May Change

This privacy policy describes Awaken Prayer’s current policies and practices with regard to the personal information we collect through the service. Periodically, we will update or revise this privacy policy. If we make changes, we will inform you by posting the revised version of this privacy policy behind the link marked “Privacy Policy” at the bottom of each page of the website. We will also update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. If we make any material changes we will inform you by email (sent to the email address specified in your account) or by means of a prominent notice on this site prior to the change becoming effective. You may access the current version of this privacy policy at any time by clicking the link marked “Privacy Policy” at the bottom of the home page of the website. The Awaken Privacy Policy is an integral part of the overall Terms-of-Use agreement.
